Despite losses, RC/B wrestlers improving
In back to back road matches, the Rush City/Braham wrestling team fell to both Cloquet/Esko (45-24) and Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson (43-31).
“We wrestled very well in our light weights again,” said coach Josh Moulton. “Dylan Martin and Dylan Mielke may not have won, but they did not give up pins, which made it close at the end. Tyler Sitz and Francis Loerzel pulled out huge pins for us in the dual meet. Bryce Lanhart also wrestled a tough opponent and did not give up a pin. We lost the dual, but we wrestled very tough. It is nice to see the young ones putting up a good fight. I believe we will be getting tougher here as we get into some of our toughest competition of the season in January.”
The grapplers from Rush City/Braham will compete in an invitational at Mora beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5.
