The first baby of 2013 at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, Lilith Rose Marie Hoisington, entered the world at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

Lilith is the first child for Casey Droher and Dillon Hoisington of Almelund. Delivered by OB/Gyn specialist Tamera Petrac, MD, of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Fairview Lakes, Lilith weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

A half dozen babies were born at the medical center in Wyoming in the final hours of 2012. Lilith was the only baby born on Jan. 1, 2013. That honor won her a giant basket full of gifts and two cartons of diapers presented by Mary Ann Cooper of the Fairview Lakes Auxiliary and a second smaller basket of gifts donated by the Fairview Pharmacy at Wyoming.

Staff at The Birthplace at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming deliver more than 700 babies each year.
