Susan Williams of the Rush City School District was recognized as an exceptional teacher at the TIES 2012 Education Technology Conference at the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency Dec. 11. She was among 82 teachers recognized from 43 districts.
Susan has promoted the use of technology and has provided leadership to advance teacher use of technology to enhance instruction. She uses technology to make instruction more relevant to students by using the tools they find motivating and powerful.
The superintendent for the TIES Exceptional Teacher award, which recognizes teachers who model the best practices in their classroom and engage students in learning, chose Susan.
TIES is the largest education technology trainer in the Midwest, and TIES places high value on the integration of technology in the classroom.
