After a four-game winning streak, the Rush City girls basketball team has been on the losing end of four games in a row.
Last week, the Tigers took the trip to East Central and was handed 50-44 defeat by the Eagles.
“East Central is a much improved team over last year, and they were ready to play on Tuesday,” coach Mark Henrich said. “Rush City was down by 16 at the half, but battled back to within two late in the second half. The strong effort in second was not enough to overcome. The girls played hard and had chances in the second.”
The home game scheduled Jan. 11 versus Isle was postponed and rescheduled for Feb. 4.
The Rush City girls basketball team is tied for fourth in the Great River Conference and has a 3-3 conference and 4-5 overall record. The team will travel to Onamia to face the Panthers (1-11) at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 before hosting the Grantsburg Pirates (6-4) at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22.
