Cloquet shuts down girls hockey season
The 2012-13 hockey season ended for the St. Francis/North Branch girls team Thursday, Feb. 7, in the first round of Section 7AA play.
The Fighting Saints, seeded No. 7 in the section, lost in a 4-0 shutout on the road to No. 2 seed Cloquet/Esko/Carlton. Team members from North Branch include Mallory Olson, Erynn Downey, Kaylyn Forliti and Miranda Swanson.
The girls finished the season 10th in the North Suburban Conference with a 1-10 record and 6-18-1 overall.
