Stephanie is the daughter of Colleen Kastanek, of North Branch, and the late James Cholensky, of Denver, Colo.
Daniel is the son of Gary and Jeanne Schindler, of Coon Rapids.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. She is a research assistant for the Center for Integrated Chemical Biology and Drug Design at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, studying non-invasive cancer treatments.
Daniel also graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010. He has degrees in Near Eastern Classical Archeology, Latin and Greek. He received his Master of Arts degree in archeology last year from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is pursuing his doctoral studies at that school. Daniel is the ceramic specialist on the Huqoq site, located near the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The excavation focuses on the artifacts of a synagogue built in the fifth to sixth centuries CE/AD, the village surrounding it and the modern Arab village of Yakuk that was built over the ancient site.
The wedding will be May 18, 2013, at Cowles Conservatory in Minneapolis.
