North Branch Area High School senior Zack Sundly has been selected by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association to participate in this year’s All-Star Game.
The senior captain led the Vikings with 1886 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns this season. In addition, Sundly threw for 364 yards and had 40 yards receiving. The combination of rushing, passing and receiving gave Sundly a total of 2290 yards from scrimmage this season.
Sundly’s single game bests were against St. Louis Park, where he rushed for 312 yards and scored five touchdowns, and set the single game record for the Vikings. He finished the 2012 season rushing over 200 yards in five games.
The 2013 All-Star Game will be played at 1 p.m. June 29 at Husky Stadium at St. Cloud State University.
