Carnival craziness

Jacobson Elementary in Rush City was the place to be Friday night, March 8, for kids and their families looking for a bouncing good time. The school carnival is an annual fundraising event, coordinated by the Parent-Teacher Organization. Many donations from the community help with the event, too.

Inflatable obstacle courses, slides, the human slingshot and other activities welcomed kids in the gymnasium. Down the hall, it was all about the prizes, from fun little toys to candy, in games all about fishing, hockey, throwing darts at balloons and tossing jar lids around bottles of soda. Other children patiently waited in line for crazy hairstyles, temporary tattoos and the popular face painting activity.
