Call it sport or not, the “Kiss the Pig” contest at the Jacobson Elementary Carnival on March 8 was a huge success for both adults and students who used their tickets to vote for a teacher to pucker up.

Nine teachers from the Rush City school were up to the challenge, but it was sixth grade instructor Mr. Lattimore who received the most votes and kissed the pig, named Bacon, during the grand finale.

“Tastes like chicken,” he said afterward.

In addition, Crazy Hair is always a popular event at the Jacobson Elementary School Carnival where second-graders Teegan Goebel and Landon Umbreit Kosloski, along with third-grader Ben Hanson, formed the all new “Blue Hair” group.

Funds raised at the 2013 carnival will go toward the purchase of new playground equipment.
