North Branch Area High School German students traveled to Europe during spring break 2013. A few of the many highlights during the ten-day adventure were: touring the medieval city of Rothenburg in Bavaria; two days in Munich, including a visit to Dachau concentration camp; a guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle; sightseeing in Innsbruck, Austria; gondola rides through the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy; an excursion to the top of Mt. Pilatus in Luzern, Switzerland; and a day in Heidelberg, Germany.
Students generally do a lot of fundraising throughout their years of study while enrolled in German classes at NBAHS. A special “Danke” to the North Branch area community for supporting our German students in their fundraising efforts. This is the seventh tour that German teacher Barb Swenson has led with her students via EF Educational Tours. The company specializes in educational tours for youth.
