Josephine A. Walker, 71, of North Branch, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge.
Josephine was born Dec. 19, 1941 in Minneapolis to parents Leo and Fay (Schmelke) Mikush. She attended Minneapolis schools and graduated from Marshall High School in 1959. She married James Walker on June 16, 1960. Josephine was a homemaker most of her life and liked growing flowers, the arts and going to concerts. She had a love for cats and dogs and she owned many over the years. She always made time for her daily cup of tea. Josephine will be remembered as a loving and caring woman to Jim and also to her many nieces and nephews.
Josephine is survived by her husband James, of North Branch; sister Rosemary (Jack) Walker, of North Branch; brother James (Linda) Mikush, of Isanti; foster brother Barry Bobick, of Spring Lake Park; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Rev. Gary Guptill officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Friday. Private family interment will take place at Kost Cemetery.
