Rush City boys track and field senior team members Johnathan Mielke and Max Maher qualified to compete in the Hamline Elite Meet which was held Friday, April 26. Mielke placed 11th in the discus throw with a throw of 137’02”, while Maher was unable to make opening height. This meet is open to all high school athletes in both class divisions, but the field in each event is limited to a certain number of entries to ensure only the top athletes in the state compete. The discus throw is limited to 12, while the pole vault is nine plus ties. The Rush City boys and girls track and field teams will host the Tigerama meet at Bill West Field at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 30.
