Fairview Clinic-NB ready to provide care

Fairview Clinics – North Branch, 5366 386th St., officially opened Tuesday at its new location at the intersection of Falcon Avenue and Highway 95, west of Interstate 35.

Fairview officials and staff, along with business and city leaders, congregated for a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration Monday. Afterward, tours of the new 18,000 square-foot clinic revealed a full pharmacy, spacious physical therapy area, expanded patient care space with exam, procedure and x-ray rooms and a space designated for optical services.

“The city has been very helpful,” Ray Piirainen, director of real estate for Fairview, said of the role North Branch had in making the clinic come to fruition. “It’s like a promise fulfilled.”

Others including clinic supervisor Kris Clementson, Dr. Steve Thompson, regional medical director for Fairview, and Steve Endrud, vice president of operations for Fairview Medical Group, also voiced their approval and excitement over the efficiency and convenience of the clinic for patients in the community.

Patient care services provided at the new clinic include family medicine, pediatrics, OB-GYN, podiatry, mammography and diabetic education and nutrition services. Additional services include a Fairview pharmacy, Fairview Lakes Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy and eye care services provided by Total Eye Care.

A sizeable conference room with plenty of windows also is available for both staff and public use.

“This is an exciting opportunity to expand our commitment to the North Branch community and the region,” Endrud has said. “This state-of-the-art clinic gives patients access to new services and specialists at a single location. Our Fairview Pharmacy is open to the public and its drive-through will be very convenient.”

Added Paula Rehder, MD, who has been practicing at the North Branch clinic for 16 years, “The additional exam rooms and services will allow us to provide more streamlined care in a beautiful space provided by the same team you have always trusted, along with new smiling faces.

In addition to Fairview Clinics and United Properties, the project team included architect BDH & Young, civil engineer EVS and general contractor RJM Construction. Fairview and developer United Properties began construction September 4, 2012.
