Team 3038, the North Branch-Chisago Lakes FIRST Robotics team, will be competing in the Minnesota State High School League Robotics Championships at Williams Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota May 18. Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. with competition starting at 8:45 a.m. Thirty out of the 180 high school teams in Minnesota qualify for the event. Minnesota is the only state that has a state sponsored championship
“It is very exciting for the team to be participating in the event, Becky Leuer, team leader and mentor, said. “ It is only the second state tournament and quite an honor to be selected for participation.”
