Larry G. Anderson, 67, of North Branch, passed away May 23, peacefully surrounded by his family, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, after a long battle with cardiac and respiratory issues.
Larry was born Jan. 17, 1946 in Rush City to parents Curtis and Leona (Linder) Anderson. He attended North Branch schools. After school, Larry worked various jobs, including general safety in North Branch, painting fire trucks, White Bear Dodge doing auto body work and Buck Blacktop of Saint Paul for 30-plus years until he retired.
Larry’s hobbies were deer hunting, fishing, auto body work, and painting and tinkering in his shop. His greatest passion in life was his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Leona Anderson. He is survived by his son, Chris Anderson (Joanne), of Henriette; life partner Carol Splittstoser; step daughters Sheli Brooks (John), of Lindstrom; Christie Wilson (Nick), of North Branch; grandchildren Christine (Frank), Travis, Allie, Sadie and Maddy; siblings Lane Anderson (Bonnie), of North Branch; Leo Anderson, of Braham; Cody Anderson (Steve), of North Branch; Kay Johnson (Garry), of North Branch; Betty Robbins (Rodger), of North Branch; and Vana Scheele, of North Branch; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is being held in Larry’s shop Friday, May 31.
