Charles A. Reichow Sr. passed away May 18, 2013, at the residence of his son, Charlie, with wife Betty by his side. He was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Thief River Falls, Minn. He suffered from stage 5 kidney disease and other conditions that contributed to his death.
His parents were Edison Gannon and Cleona Taylor (maiden name). All their children were legally adopted. Charles’ father spent 17 years in a veteran hospital following WWI. Charles was in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Laub as a signalman 3rd class during WWII. He was employed with the Soo Line Railroad as a crewman and boss switchman for 42 years. He also worked as a farmhand, logger and mechanic.
His family owned a farm in Sunrise, Minn. He enjoyed the farm, especially the horses. Charles was a wonderful person, father and friend. He will be truly missed.
