After pulling off a couple of upsets in Section 7AAA play, the No. 8 section seeded North Branch baseball team had its season end when the boys lost 4-0 to No. 3 seed Grand Rapids.

Nick Pilz and Michael Naggatz each got a hit in the June 4 game at Grand Rapids.

Jacob Kari pitched the entire game and faced 29 batters. He gave up four runs (two earned), five hits and struck out three.

North Branch had 0 runs, two hits and three errors, while Grand Rapids had four runs, five hits and one error.

In earlier action, the Vikings defeated No. 1 seed Elk River and No. 4 seed Anoka. The boys then lost to No. 2 seed Forest Lake who went on to take the championship.
