Barry J. Baker, 62, was called to his savior’s side March 2, 2013. At the time of his death he was with his two brothers, Rodney and Dale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Baker, of Breckenridge, Minn.; and his son, Chad Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son, Benjamin, of Altoona, Wis.; his brother, Rodney Baker (Karen), of San Antonio, Texas; his brother, Dale Baker, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and former spouse, Patricia Olson Baker, of Fall Creek, Wis.
Barry was a retired band director and tutored brass in the New Braunfels, Texas, area for several years. He also taught band in Rush City in the early 1970s.
He loved God, life, his family, his friends and his beloved dog, Choco. His favorite pastime was riding and caring for his motorcycle, Vinnie. He also loved the trumpet, singing karaoke and teaching.
He was loved and respected by his students. He sang regularly at his church, Grace Memorial in New Braunfels, Texas. He was the past president of the Lone Star Voyagers.
His family and friends miss him dearly.
A celebration of his life was held in New Braunfels at Grace Memorial Church May 18, 2013.
