Former North Branch Area Public Schools School Board member, veteran, husband and father Rob Jutz was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in April. Many of Rob’s friends and neighbors have initiated a fundraising effort called the Rob Jutz Victory Fund in order to raise money for his medical treatments. Three fun events to help the Jutz family are scheduled:
• Friday, Aug. 2: A silent auction, live benefit performance by the popular band “FREE FALLIN” and a family fun night at Stars and Strikes in Wyoming. The silent auction opens at 5 p.m. The band will play two sets: 9 p.m. (all ages welcome) and 10:30 p.m. (21-plus).
• Saturday, Aug. 17: A pig roast at Anderson Park in Isanti County is planned.
• Saturday, Sept. 28: A spaghetti dinner at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch is planned.
