Join the “Discover the Fun on Old Hwy. 61” group for a planning session next week on developing Old Hwy. 61 into a dynamic tourism destination.
The event is set for Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Pine County Courthouse, 635 Northridge Dr. NW, in Pine City. Registration starts at 9 a.m., followed by the planning session from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
The public is asked to share this invitation with key people in hospitality, retail, recreation, civic or historical groups and economic development. Call 651-674-4077 to RSVP by Aug. 20.
This is a partnership effort with Chisago, Pine and Carlton counties and Onanegozie RC&D with cities, chambers and area businesses along this historic strip of highway. The project was funded in part by the Initiative Foundation, a regional foundation.
