Fairview’s Sept. 4 ‘Topic’ aims at reducing falls

Are you afraid of falling, or are you afraid someone in your family may fall?

Fairview Lakes HomeCaring & Hospice registered physical therapist Marci Gaertner will talk about strategies to reduce falls and fear of falling at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Conference Room B at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming.

In her talk, “It’s a Matter of Balance,” Gaertner will discuss the first steps necessary to view falls as controllable and to set realistic goals to increase balance and eliminate risk factors. Preregistration is not necessary. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
