Ayusa, a national company supporting exchange students from around the world, has been working with families in this area to bring the world to Minnesota.
On Labor Day, future world leaders (teens) from 17 countries and their host families gathered in North Branch for an American BBQ and welcome celebration. These students will be attending the 2013-2014 school year in North Branch, Rush City, Chisago Lakes, Isanti, Maple Grove, Fridley, Rogers, Northfield, cottage Grove, Lester Prairie, Edina, Faribault, Lakeville, Minneapolis, and Plymouth.
Students arrived in the United States between Aug. 17 and 24, coming from Japan, Norway, Chile, Germany (2), Egypt, Netherlands (2), France, Ecuador, Spain, Thailand, Mexico, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Ghana.
The students from Chisago County area are: Aoi, from Japan, staying with Schreder family in North Branch; Felipe, from Chile, staying with the Langworthy family in Rush City; Ronja, from Germany, staying with the Liegland family in Rush City; Maria, from Ecuador, staying with the Benhardus family in Chisago City; Timo (not pictured), from Germany, staying with the Moulton family in Rush City.
