Alcohol not believed to be a factor in fatal crash

Oscar Southbloom, the 18-year-old Harris man who was involved in a car accident Aug. 31 in Wabasha County that lead to the death of 65-year-old Clyde Jordan, of Kellogg, likely did not have alcohol in his system during the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

“We don’t believe alcohol is involved, however, (we) can’t verify that fact on the part of the tractor driver until the autopsy is complete,” State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske wrote in an email last week.
