RC girls cross country

Senior Kamila Kleiberoua led the Tigers again in her second cross country race at the Milaca Mega Meet with a time of 17:03.8, good for 47th place of 209 runners and a 30-second improvement from last week. Seniors Sammi Oscarson and Payton Ramberg took 113th and 124th, respectively, with times of 19:09.6 and 19:11.2. Freshmen Rily McGough and Brooke Necowitsch rounded out the scoring in 126th and 140th place.

RC boys cross country

The Tiger cross country boys suffered from injuries last week, which kept three racers from competing at the Milaca Mega Meet. Junior Zeth Angworthy led Rush City with a time of 19:59.5, good for 118th place of 221 runners. Juniors Collin Yaritz and Andy Johnson followed with times of 20:03.7 and 21:50.9, good for 120th and 168th, respectively. Rounding out the scoring were seniors Joe Laursen and Caleb Sawnson in 176th and 177th.

NB girls cross country

The Viking girls took ninth of 20 teams at the Milaca Mega Meet, where freshman Rhianna Rinke paved the way for her teammates with a fourth-place finish of 144 competitors with a time of 14:59.0. Senior Casey Hovland placed high for North Branch by taking 20th with a time of 15:50.6. Freshman Madison Belland came in next at 39th with a time of 16:22, while senior Haley Huset and freshman Grace Puchtel finished in 69th ad 116th, respectively.

NB boys cross country

The North Branch boys cross country team tied for 13th place of 19 teams at the Milaca Mega Meet over the weekend, led by sophmore Josh Petrik in 58th place of 140 racers with a time of 18:33.3. Seniors Kyle Crowell and Alex Fitchka crossed the finish line next in 63rd and 75th place, respectively, with times of 18:55 and 18:58.8. Senior Kyle Granger and junior Cole Willis rounded out the Viking scoring in 81st and 83rd place.
