Quilters meet in RC

Tickets for the Quilt Guild’s 2013 Donation Quilt can still be purchased at local events
until the winner
is drawn in
December.
This quilt
features rich
fabrics and
beautiful
machine stitching. This quilt displays the Ugly Fabric Challenge that the RC Piecemaker’s group eagerly took on this year. The unique hangings and quilt products were displayed at the Chisago County Fair in July. Items from the 2013 Ugly Fabric
Challenge also were showcased in the city park. Members from the Rush City Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild used between six and eight fabrics to make
interesting hangings and quilt products from the other members’ “ugly” fabrics.

The Rush City Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild met for its annual gathering on a warm August day at the city park. Talented ladies displayed lovely quilt items around the park and enjoyed an afternoon filled with swapping stories and ideas with the public and each other. Membership to the Guild is available throughout the year.
