Kenneth M. Johnson

Kenneth M. Johnson, 79, of North Branch, died Nov. 7, 2013, at GracePointe Crossing Gables West in Cambridge.
Kenneth Manfred Johnson was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Isanti Township, Minn., to Clifford and Ruby (Engblom) Johnson. He was raised and attended school in the Isanti area and was a part of South Isanti Baptist Church his entire life. After school, Kenny served his country in the US Army. On June 27, 1964, he married Corinne Lindstrom at the South Isanti Baptist Church parsonage. They made their home on the Lindstrom family farm in North Branch where they raised their three children. Kenny worked as a welder at Hoffman Engineering. He has been cared for at GracePointe Gables West in Cambridge for the last several years
Kenny loved deer hunting, visiting with his siblings, and going to Arnies cabin, biking, and time with family. He especially enjoyed the time with his granddaughters, Kayle and Alanna. Kenny was a storyteller and loved talking with everyone, especially if you were a Swede!
Kenny will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Corinne; two sons, Kevin Johnson (Laurel), of Rush City, Charles Johnson, of North Branch; one daughter, Kristen Johnson, of North Branch; three brothers, Bob Johnson, of Isanti, Arnie Johnson, of Cambridge, Leland
(Kay) Johnson, of Isanti; one sister, Lorraine Johnson, of Isanti; two grandchildren, Kayle (Eddie) Logan, and Alanna Nelson; four great- grandchildren, Tanner, Jeremiah, Amelia, and Avery; and by many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at South Isanti Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Venneman officiating. Arrangements were with Strike Funeral Home Cambridge Chapel.
