The North Branch Lions will again be providing a complete home-cooked hot turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings on Thanksgiving Day for anyone who would otherwise not have one — for any reason.
Last year there were 100 free dinners provided, according to Lions president Chris Thoma.
“There is no charge for the meal, and we are asking for help in locating folks who for whatever reason won’t have the opportunity for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner,” Thoma said.
The meal will be delivered beginning shortly before noon on Thanksgiving Day. The menu will include roast turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, cranberries, Waldorf salad, dinner roll and pumpkin pie.
Thoma asks those interested in receiving a meal for themselves or another person to contact their local church, the North Branch Senior Center, the Chamber of Commerce at 651-674-4077 or POST-HASTE at 651-237-1115.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver the meals. People interested in helping can call the chamber office and leave their names.
