All the lights were aglow

Taylors Falls was a literal bevy of holiday lights, decorations and cheer Friday during the city’s 29th annual Lighting Festival.

Just before 6 p.m., residents and visitors lined Main Street and counted down when the time hit 10 seconds from the hour mark.

When that time was up, the businesses along the thoroughfare turned on their holiday lights, which bathed the street in a multicolored glow.

Following the lighting, a parade made its way down Main Street.

Chisago County Sheriff Rick Duncan was the first down the street in his squad car, and Santa and Mrs. Claus ended the celebration.
