RC basketball girls fall by three

The Tiger girls basketball team lost 39-36 to Moose Lake-Willow River last Thursday at home. Rush City traveled to Olgivie on Tuesday and hit the road again on Thursday, Dec. 12 for a 7:30 p.m. game at Hinckley-Finlayson.

Dragon hockey goes 1-2

The Pine City/Rush City boys hockey team lost 6-4 to Mora/Hinckley-Finlayson last Tuesday at home, but turned things around to win 5-4 over Becker/Big Lake on the road last Thursday. On Saturday, the Dragons traveled to the North Shore, but fell 4-0.  The boys hosted Legacy Christian on Tuesday and travel to Proctor for a 7:30 p.m. matchup on Thursday, Dec. 12.

NB boys hockey drops two

The Vikings fell 9-3 on the road at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Coliseum last Thursday to St. Paul Como Park, and lost 10-0 to Chisago Lakes at home in Lindstrom on Saturday. North Branch hosts Princeton at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12 before returning for a 8 p.m. rematch against St. Paul Como Park on Friday, Dec. 13.

NB wrestlers drop four

The Vikings lost 41-34 to Princeton on the road last Friday before traveling to Foley on Saturday and falling 51-21 to Sartell/Sauk Rapids, 45-31 to Paynesville Area and 37-36 to Becker. North Branch travels to St. Francis for a 7:30 p.m. match before traveling to Big Lake for an invite on Friday, Dec. 13.

St. Francis/NB girls win at home

The Fighting Saints won 5-3 over Princeton/Big Lake/Becker last Tuesday. The girls hosted Rogers on Tuesday and next host St. Louis Park at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12.

NB gymnasts top Bluejackets

The North Branch gymnastics team earned an opening win against Cambridge-Isanti last Tuesday, defeating the Bluejackets 132.375-130.325. Next, the Vikings travel to Buffalo on Thursday, Dec. 12 for a 6:30 p.m. meet.
