The Chisago County Community Center, 38790 6th Ave.,  in North Branch will host a Habitat for Humanity volunteer sign-up and informational open house at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.

Habitat has selected a wonderful, deserving and hardworking family for a home in North Branch. Members of the organization will be rehabbing 6784-381 Street in North Branch by converting it into a handicap accessible home complete with handicap accessible ramp.

Habitat is in special need of a volunteer plumber, a volunteer electrician and a volunteer mason.

All are invited to join Habitat at the open house to view a 20-minute informational slide presentation describing Habitat’s mission, process and request for volunteers. Treats will be served, and guests will have an opportunity to meet the selected family.

Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome and needed. For volunteers who get involved in working on a Habitat house, it is a very satisfying, rewarding and fun experience. For more information call 763-689-0288.
