Her name sounds like a breath of summer, but Savanna Mae was born on one of the coldest days of the year. Yes, that tiny little bundle of joy, held by her mother Kirsten Mahoney of Taylors Falls and dwarfed by a giant basket of gifts, is Savanna Mae Mahoney-Britt, the first baby born at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in 2014. Delivered by Jennifer Peoples, MD, of the Fairview Clinic in Wyoming, Savanna arrived at 9:31 a.m. Jan. 1 and weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces. Proud parents are Kirsten Mahoney and Beau Britt. Kirsten is assistant manager at Holiday in North Branch, and Beau is employed by a gasoline pump repair company in Harris. Savanna was showered with gifts compliments of the Fairview Lakes Auxiliary.
