RC girls chalk up two wins

The Rush City girls basketball team took on a non-conference opponent, Grantsburg, last Tuesday and pulled out the victory in overtime, winning 49-44, before facing Great River Conference foe Onamia at home last Friday. Rush City beat Onamia handily, 47-32. The Tigers are 6-4 overall and next host Braham at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.

RC boys drop three

The Rush City boys basketball team fell 62-46 last Tuesday at home against Moose Lake-Willow River, then lost 61-56 to Onamia on the road two days later. On Monday night, the Tigers traveled to Pine City, where they lost 62-39. Rush City is 3-9 overall and next host Braham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.

Vikings basketball boys fall to M8 foes

The North Branch boys basketball team lost 62-44 to Monticello on the road last Tuesday, then fell 58-49 two days later against Cambridge-Isanti at home. The Vikings are 4-10 overall and faced Chisago Lakes Tuesday night. Next, the Vikings travel to Princeton for a 7:15 p.m. game Thursday.

NB hockey boys suffer three losses

The North Branch boys hockey team fell 13-0 at home against Chisago Lakes last Thursday, then dropped a 9-1 game on the road against WSFLG on Friday. The next day, the Vikings fell 5-0 at Princeton. North Branch faced Pine City/Rush City on Tuesday and next host St. Francis at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Saints earn 4-3 win

The St. Francis/North Branch girls hockey team defeated Princeton/Big Lake/Becker 4-3 on the road Friday night and faced North Wright County on Tuesday night. Next, the Saints host Rogers at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25.
