Bulrush to help cause via virtual golf contest Feb. 1

Bulrush Golf Course in Rush City is partnering with Special Olympics Minnesota to offer a winter event to raise money and awareness for a good cause.

Bulrush plans to host the Virtual Golf Longest Drive & Closest to the Pin Contest on Saturday,
Feb. 1.

An afternoon of fun on Bulrush’s new virtual golf simulators will help to create a world of community for Minnesota Special Olympians. This organization offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competition.

For a $20 donation, each golfer will receive seven swings in the Longest Drive competition or five swings in the Closest to the Pin challenge. For a $30 donation, a golfer will be entered in both the Longest Drive and the Closest to the Pin competitions.

First place trophies will be awarded along with prizes for second and third. The Rush-Hour Bar and Restaurant will be holding a meat raffle the same afternoon. For more information on this event, call Bulrush at 320-358-1050.
