The Long Spurs of Sunrise River, Chisago County’s Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, is having its 16th Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Lent Town Hall.
This popular family-oriented event begins at 5:30 p.m. for cocktails and raffles, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The Hunting Heritage Banquet has historically been a sellout, or close to it. With that in mind, the Long Spurs strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Previous attendees have been mailed flyers with pre-registration forms; however, tickets are also available from committee members, or at the door, assuming tickets are still available. Please feel free to contact Greg Morgan at 651-357-6299 to purchase banquet tickets or if you would like to become a Long Spurs committee member.
There will be door prizes, raffles, a silent auction and a live auction at this event. Event sponsors and attendees are giving support to not only the banquet, but the proceeds are also used on a local and national level for many worthy causes including: college scholarships, food shelf donations, wildlife habitat restoration and preservation, wildlife conservation, youth outdoor education events, Women in the Outdoors events, and Wheelin’ Sportsmen events.
