Curtis Waldhoff

Curtis J. Waldhoff, 96, of North Branch, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at the Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming.
Curtis was born Nov. 13, 1917, in Isanti, to Theodore and Annie (Nordin) Waldhoff. He attended school in St. Francis and served in the CCCs in northern Minnesota and enlisted in the US Army during WWII. He married June Linder Dec. 31, 1950, and lived in North Branch. Curtis worked at Olson Fuel in North Branch and retired at age 85 in April, 2002. Curtis enjoyed numerous trips to the North Shore of Lake Superior, Grand Casino in Hinckley, trips to California, visiting and vacationing with friends, old tractors and the Almelund Threshing Shows. Curtis suffered a stroke in November 2013 and was hospitalized at Fairview Hospital in Wyoming and Bethesda in St. Paul. He was later moved to Margaret Parmly Nursing Home in Chisago City. Following complications, he entered Fairview Hospital Jan. 20, 2014.
Curtis is survived by his wife, June; daughters Linda (Harold White); Robin (Robin Isakson); Jolayne (James Antolik); grandchildren Joseph and Jay White, Joshua and Nicole Isakson, Jennifer Antolik Frost (Mike), Stephanie Antolik, Brittany Antolik Phelps (Joshua) and Courtney Antolik; brother Orlo Waldhoff and sister Audrey Nelson along with numerous family and friends. Curtis was preceded in death by his son, Scot; grandson Nicholas Antolik; parents Theodore and Annie Waldhoff; sisters LaRue, Cleo, Lois and brother Glenn.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Main Street Church in North Branch with the Rev. Phil Schmidt officiating. Family interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Branch.
