NB gymnasts grab another win

The Vikings won the conference meet, 142.225-131.075, breaking another high team score record for North Branch. Mahoney took first place in the all-around with a stellar score of 37.225, followed by Trunk in second place at 36.375. Mahoney took first in both the bars and beam, tallying a 9.725 on the bars.

The junior varsity squad competed in the Mississippi 8 Conference meet last week, placing fourth overall. Cambridge-Isanti took top honors.

North Branch also competed on Tuesday night in a makeup meet against St. Michael-Albertville for the squad’s final regular-season competition. Next, the varsity Vikings travel to White Bear Lake for the section championships on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.
