PAVEMENT MARKINGS

Separate sealed bids for Chisago County 2014 Retro-Reflective Pavement Markings Project will be received by the Board of Commissioners of Chisago County at the Office of the Clerk of the Board, 313 N. Main Street, Room 175, Center City, Minnesota 55012 until 1:00 P.M. on the 24th day of March, 2014, and then at said time publicly opened and read aloud.
Approximate Major quantities of work are:
Yellow Paint Latex:
2,736 Gallons;
White Paint Latex:
4,703 Gallons

Plans, Specifications, and Proposals may also be examined and/or obtained at the Chisago County Public Works Office located at 31325 Oasis Road, Center City, MN 55012 or by sending a request to Chisago County Public Works, 313 N. Main Street, Room 400, Center City MN 55012, upon non-refundable payment of $50.00 for each set. Phone (651) 213-8700, Fax (651) 213-8772. All plan orders or request for plan holder lists shall be referred to Cindy Johnson at (651) 213-8704. All project questions should be referred to Ben Utech at 651.213.8707.
Bids must be on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials and no bid will be accepted unless sealed and filed with the County and accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond payable to the County for not less than five (5) per cent of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within fifteen (15) days after notification of award of contract enter into an agreement with the County and furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for the full amount of the contract as provided by law. If the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him, shall fail to enter into the contract, so let, the amount of such certified check or bidders bond shall be forfeited to the County.
The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the County.
The proposed contract is subject to minimum wage rates as set forth by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and incorporated into the Specifications: http://workplace.doli.state.mn.us/prevwage.
