Joyce Meyers, of Sunrise Township, was the big winner of a special porcelain doll when her name was selected in a Valentine’s week drawing at North Branch Floral.

Geri Wheeler, who has run the shop for 28 years, had the doll in her collection for years and often used it for display purposes until her decision to award it to one lucky customer.

Meyers brought the doll home last week and is excited to keep it in the family, starting with her granddaughter, for generations. For now, she plans to add it to her own collection of two Geisha dolls and other vintage pieces that her husband brought home from Japan, where he served in the Army from 1956-58.
