Leslie Wilcox

Leslie M. Wilcox, 94, of Sauk Rapids, and formerly of Becker and New Prague, passed away March 21, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Leslie was born Dec. 8, 1919 in Sunrise, Minn. to John and Selma (Larson) Wilcox. He was married to Elizabeth Wilcox Nov. 17, 1945 in North Branch. Leslie worked as a propane truck driver and for Branch manufacturing in North Branch prior to moving to New Prague in 1991. There he worked for the City of New Prague and the New Prague Hospital until retiring in 2011. He enjoyed being a handyman, fixing things, gardening, playing guitar, singing, painting houses, and animals, especially dogs. Leslie will be remembered as a generous and caring man who was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by many.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Sauk Rapids; sons, Michael (Kay) of New Prague and Steve (Diane) of St. Cloud; brother, Glen (Marcie) of Minnetonka; 12 grandchildren, Jamison (Kadee), Jahan, Peter (Ilda), Daniel, Anjali, Kenzie (Matt), Kristen (Keith), Jennifer (Blake), Bethany, Richard, and Joshua; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Royal, Bernice Lantz, Vernon, Rudy, John, Harold, and Ronald.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids. Dr. G.G. Phillips officiated and burial was held at the Sunrise Cemetery in Sunrise, Minn.
