Anthony  Benson

Anthony S. Benson, age 21 of North Branch died on Monday, April 1, 2014 at Changing Gaits in Brook Park. Anthony was born on June 11, 1992 at Unity Hospital in Fridley to parents, Steven Benson and Nicole Wald. He grew up in the North Branch area and graduated from Chisago Lakes High School. Anthony attended Pine Technical College for one year before working locally as general laborer. Most recently he was at a ministry called Changing Gaits near Brook Park.
Anthony loved anything to do with motorcycles, ATVs or snowmobiles. He had a love for heights and enjoyed cliff repelling. He had a tender heart for animals especially his dog, Shack and his horse, Rip. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile.
Anthony is survived by his father, Steven (Kara) Benson of North Branch; mother, Nicole Wald of Clear Lake; paternal grandparents, Steven (Marjorie) Benson of North Branch; maternal grandparents, Richard Wald of Isanti and Janice Wald of Havana, IL; great grandparents, Loris Benson of North Branch and Betty Hallmark of North Branch; Karas parents, Nancy Steve of Isanti and Michael Lewis of Hinckley; sister, Jasmine as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; he is preceded in death by his great grandfather, Oliver Benson and uncle, Cpl. Johnathan Lee Benson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Kost Evangelical Free Church in Kost with Pastor Dean Paulson officiating. Music was provided by Anthonys aunt Pam Theline and cousins, James and Samantha Taylor and Shauna Benson. Serving as casket bearers were Luke Phillips, Jeremy Lewis, Kyle Koski, Rob Dennis, Sean Mariette, Guy Kaufman, Chase Cofell, Michael Lewis, Dalton Paden and Derek Paden. Interment followed the service in the church cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
