Evelyn Dora Beavers

Evelyn was born March 14, 1919 to Margaret (Ubl) and Ferdinand Kalb at their home in Meadowlawn.
She died April 29, 2014, at the Mora Hospital and was met in heaven by Ole, her husband of 71 years.
She married Ellsworth (Ole) Beavers on June 1, 1938 at the Rock Creek Methodist Church. They had one daughter Beverly.
They owned a dairy farm near Rock Creek where she was a homemaker and helpmate to Ole.
She worked at Plastech Corporation in Rush City for 15 years where she made many friends and had paid vacations for the first time!
After a farm auction in 1974, Ole and Evelyn moved to Pine City and in 2010 she became a resident of Golden Horizons. Over the years they enjoyed bus tours, cruising and traveling in their small RV with family and friends. She was a casino junky and loved traveling with Bob!
She was active for many years in the Pine City Presbyterian Church, helping to prepare stew supper. She was a founding member of the Rock Creek Homemakers and a volunteer at the Pine City Senior Dining. She loved picnics and family get-togethers, usually organizing them and preparing the food. She was a good cook and always had a large garden.
