Henton: Banners for business

We are proud as a school district to announce yet another partnership between the school district and the community.

Activities/Community Education Director Brett Carlson has been working very closely with community member Barb Hensch, of the North Branch Area Athletic Association, toward providing local business owners an affordable and effective way to advertise to the local community.

The “banner project” allows local business to purchase banner space in our varsity facilities. In the spring they will be located along the outfields at the baseball and softball fields; in the fall they will be moved to the stadium for football and soccer. We are very excited to offer this opportunity for our customers to, in turn, reach new customers as well.

We are very grateful to the help we received from Barb as we navigated the many challenges that come with offering an opportunity such as this.

We take great pride in our partnerships. I wrote recently about another involving Project Lead the Way, and these are just two example of the many ways the school district seeks partnerships in its surrounding communities.
