Tiger baseball falls to Aitkin

The Rush City baseball team fell 14-1 in five innings last Tuesday in Aitkin, bringing the team’s record to 2-2. Next, Rush City hosts Onamia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.

Vikings go 3-2 on week

The North Branch softball team had a hectic schedule on the road last week. The Vikings went 3-2, starting with a 13-8 win at Monticello last Tuesday. The girls traveled to Cambridge-Isanti the next day and lost to the Bluejackets, 6-3. North Branch played two games at Princeton on Friday, beating the Tigers 7-0 in the first matchup, then defeating Cloquet in the second game, 2-1. The Vikings wrapped up their week on Monday with a 7-1 loss to Buffalo, bringing their overall record to 8-7. North Branch hosted Princeton and Cambridge-Isanti on Tuesday and Wednesday and next travel to Chisago Lakes for a 4:30 p.m. matchup on Thursday, May 15.
