NB tracksters take second in M8

The North Branch girls track and field team tied for second place with St. Francis in its first season in the Mississippi 8 Conference. Full results will be listed in next week’s Post Review. The Vikings began Section 7AA preliminaries on Tuesday in Zimmerman.

Vikings send four to state

The North Branch boys tennis team, seeded eleventh in Section 7AA, closed its season last week with a 7-0 loss to sixth-seeded Cloquet. For a full season recap, check out next week’s edition of the Post Review.

NB boys golf struggles at the links

The Vikings placed sixth of 10 teams with a score of 330. Buffalo took first with a 298. North Branch kicks off the preliminaries of Section 7AAA on Saturday, May 31 at Grand National Golf Club in Hinckley.

Tough meet for Viking golfers 

Senior Hannah Gomes shot the team low at 113, followed by senior Emily Carlson (115), junior Janice Elkerton (119) and eighth-grader Natalie Olinske (122). The Vikings earned a team score of 469, which put them 10th of 10 at the conference meet. Buffalo breezed to a first-place finish with 314. The Vikings have a conference meet at Hinckley on Thursday, May 29, then compete at the Section 7AAA meet in Hinckley on Saturday, May 31 and Monday, June 2.
