Emillie Stenberg

Emillie G. Stenberg, age 74 of North Branch died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at her residence after a short illness.
Emillie was born on October 3, 1939 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin to parents Arvid and Agnes (Johnson) Elmstrand. She attended and graduated from North Branch Schools. Emillie worked for a short time as a LPN. She then drove school bus for the North Branch School District for 10 years before taking a job as an over the road truck driver for Delwin Transfer for twenty plus years. She married Lyle Stenberg at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch in 1964. Emillie loved bingo, jigsaw puzzles, going to the casino and especially crocheting rugs for everybody in the family. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Emillie is survived by her children, Gaylen of Harris, Darwin (Tammy) Stenberg of Rush City, Brenda (Brad) Wheatley of Harris and Linnae (Rick) Bellin of Rush City; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack, Calvin, Amilynn and Emillie; great grandchild, Aiden; siblings, Carole Markusson of Florida, Donald (Roberta) Elmstrand of North Branch, Jean (Henry, Jr.) Egelkraut of Florida and Sandra Mohn of North Branch as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Emillie is preceded in death by her parents, Arvid and Agnes; her husband Lyle in 1981; sister, Wendy Elmstrand and niece, Renee Armstrong.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Stark with Rev. Dale Stiles officiating. Music will be provided by LaDonna Olson as organist and Jon Ekstrom as soloist. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th from 5-8 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch and also one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Interment will follow the service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Almelund.
