I’m a Let’s Go Fishing guide for the North Branch chapter. We take groups and individuals age 55 and over out on two hour fishing or boating trips on Rush Lake at no charge to our guests. We take guests from many area nursing homes, senior residences and individuals from Forest Lake, Chisago City, North Branch, Cambridge, Pine City, Wyoming and more.
Our funding all comes from donations and fundraising we do, mainly our waffle breakfast and silent auction each May. This past weekend we manned the brat stand at County Market in North Branch. Our organization wants to publicly thank County Market for the support they give to area churches and non-profit groups by letting them sell food at their brat stand.
We are blessed to have such a generous business in our area; they actually donate all the food items, so all the money groups make they get to keep! Let’s go Fishing sends a big thank you to County Market and the support they give to various organizations in the area! So next time you’re there and the brat stand is open, buy some food and support local organizations.
We get donations from many area businesses, too; please remember that by buying locally you’re helping organizations that so many local businesses also support.
We also want to thank Flickabirds on East Rush Lake for letting us keep the pontoon there so we don’t have to pull it out every time we use it. It really makes it much easier for our volunteers. You can call “Lets go Fishing” at 651-402-5960 to schedule a trip.
