Tee Up Charity Golf tourney set for Aug. 18

The Fairview Lakes Auxiliary has brought back the popular Tee Up Charity Golf event that benefitted hospice services for more than 23 years.

The new 18-hole scramble starts at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at the Chisago Lakes Golf Course in Lindstrom. Golfers of all abilities are encouraged to enter.

Participants may sign up as individuals or as a four-person team in the men’s, women’s or mixed teams. Online registration is available at www.teeup.zapevent.com. Participation is first-come, first-served and is limited to the first 144 entries.

The entry fee, of $80 a person, includes 18 holes of golf with half a cart, supper and the chance to win trophies as well as prizes on virtually every hole. Hole-in-one prizes include $2,500 cash on hole 6, choice of premium golf equipment on 8, airline tickets for two on 14 and a choice of premium electronics on 16.

Community sponsors include Plastic Products Co. Inc., Fairview Lakes Medical Center, Central Bank – Chisago Branch, Grandstrand Funeral Home, First State Bank of Wyoming, John Kirby, Lake State Federal Credit Union, Old Log Cabin, Wyoming Drug and Chisago Drug. Proceeds of the event will support Fairview Lakes’ hospice services and enhance the care of children at Fairview Lakes Medical Center and Fairview Clinics.

Past participants who received a Tee Up for Hospice brochure in the mail are urged to complete and return it now. Individuals who do not golf are welcome to attend the silent auction and dinner for a fee of $20. For a registration form or questions, call 651-982-7774.
