Norman F. Collins of North Branch died Sunday, August 10th at Ecumen North Branch at the age of 97.
Norman was born September 26, 1916 at Harris, MN to Frederic and Dora Collins. He graduated from North Branch High School in 1935. Norman was also the first male cheer leader at NBHS. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an electrical scientist. In his free time he enjoyed wood working, traveling, gardening, photography, was interested in anything electrical, would disassemble anything and then ask Wheres the Schematic.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dick and Bud; sister Marge and first wife Jane.
He is survived by his son David (Monica) Collins, daughter Kay (Bob) Dueber, sister Helen Anderson, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17th at the Ecumen North Branch Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be in the Covenant Cemetery in Harris. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home.
