Alice L. Panser

Alice L. Panser, age 96 of North Branch died on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Gracewood Assisted Living in North Branch.
Alice was born on October 23, 1916 at Crosby Township, Pine County, Minnesota to parents William and Mabel (Ramsdell) Sadler. She attended country school at Clover through the eighth grade and then helped on the family farm. She also worked for the doctor in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She married Roy Panser on October 24, 1941 at Roys sisters house in Grantsburg before he left to serve in World War II. Alice worked part time at the North Branch Bakery and loved embroidery, sewing and working word puzzles. They both loved canoeing the St. Croix River and traveling together. She and Roy liked visiting with people as well as shut-ins who could not get out on their own.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jim) Still of North Branch; son, Michael (Carol) Panser of St. Louis Park; grandchildren, Paul (Becky) Panser of Champlin, Heather (Todd) Bierly of Robbinsdale, Jennie Still of North Branch, Andy Still of North Branch; her great-granddaughter, Megan Panser of Champlin and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel; husband, Roy; brothers, William, Claude, Walter and James Sadler; sisters, Baby Rose Sadler, Hazel Larson, Robin Anderson and Margie Thom; nieces, Janice Thom Cessna and Rita Sadler Nelson.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Main Street Church in North Branch with Rev. Phil Schmidt officiating. Music will be by Nancy Ramp as organist and Jon Ekstrom as soloist. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch and also one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Family interment will take place at Ekdell Cemetery near Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
Memorials may be directed to the donors choice.
