Woman killed in I-35 rollover at Harris

A Wisconsin woman was killed and two passengers suffered injuries in a rollover crash on Interstate 35 at Harris around 7:18 p.m. Thursday, April 2.
According to the State Patrol, Melissa S. Kohls, 29, of Cameron, Wisconsin, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban on I-35 southbound, about a quarter-mile south of County Road 10, when it lost control, swerved into the left lane and ran off the road and into the median ditch.
Rolling over multiple times, the vehicle then struck and went over the median safety cables wires and came to a stop, upright, facing east in the northbound lanes of I-35.
Kohls was dead on arrival, the State Patrol said, and she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The passengers were Bethany A. Kedrowski, 29, of Chetek, Wisconsin, and a 17-year-old from St. Paul, who was the only one wearing a seat belt and was found to have alcohol in his system. Both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming.
